Outlooks on Sweatshops

There are many different views on sweatshops.

Many are angered by sweatshops. They do not think it is right that 150 million peasants in China work under poor work conditions with little wage. They essentially have no future as their pay does not suffice for anything, but the bare minimum of survival. They are abused in sweatshops and some gain diseases from unsafe work conditions.

On the other hand, some think sweatshops are a stage essential for a country's growth. The US had a sweatshops stage and you can see how it has now thrived. Many countries like Japan have outgrown seatshop practices they once had.

Some are outraged while others thing it is an inevitable step for a country to develop and grow. I am not discrediting either of these views, but I believe we should make changes now about how sweatshops work. Sacrificing millions of people for the future of a country is not right. We can improve the lives of these workers right here and right now. The workers have helped China gain it's economic success, but right now workers go on strikes, workers suicide, workers get poisoned and this is just the start. Sweatshops violate human rights and corporations should take more care and take responsibility for the factories and workplaces they control.
