What's a Sweatshop?

A sweatshop is a workplace that isn't suitable in terms of working conditions including wage, safety, living conditions and more. Workers are somtimes put through abuse whether it be physical or mental. They are never given enough money to improve their lives and are stuck in a constant cycle, struggling to survive. These sweatshops can manufacture anything from shoes to food.

Workers in these sweatshops should be payed more and be taught about their rights and be given them.

Some of these factories are monitered, but they are not efficient. Underaged and underpaid workers are almost always overloooked. Companies do not invest enough money to make sure their factories are up to standards and instead try to get the most money out of their sweatshops.
